About Big Rock Alpaca Farm
We started Big Rock Alpaca Farm in 2003 when we got the opportunity to move out to the country. We’re located in South Central PA, between Gettysburg, Harrisburg, York and Carlisle. We like the alpacas because we don’t have to worry about our two boys being in the pasture with them.
We love the alpaca fiber and products made from the fiber. Being 5 to 7 times warmer than wool, and not scratchy like wool are just two of the many virtues of alpaca fiber. The socks are wonderful to where when there is snow to be shoveled, working in the pasture or a funner activity, sledding.
We welcome visitors to the farm, just give us a call to schedule a visit. We also do an open house in the fall, so check back for dates when this will be happening.
