East Berlin Colonial Day was a great success!

? Well it was a long day and we weren’t sure how it was going to go, but it turned out to be a pretty good day.? Friday, yesterday, was quite rainy so we didn’t setup Friday evening.? This morning the boys and I went in around 6:30 to set everything up.? Thank full it had quit raining sometime during the night.

? It did get a little hot during the afternoon, but thankful not like Sunday is supposed to be.? They predicting that tomorrow, 9/14/08 is to be close to a record high at 92 degrees and it will probably be about 90% humidity.

? We got to meet and talk to many great people.? If we you did stop by and see us thank you.? For those of you that didn’t make it you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to see us on National Alpaca Farm Day at Criative Acres, several Saturdays in October at Ashcombes and of course our open house in November.

We look forward to seeing you.

Lots of work going on in preperation for Colonial Day

One of the things we’ve been working on in preperations for East Berlin Colonial Day is our open house flyer.? We’d like to be able to give these outs to all the great people we’ll be seeing at Colonial Day.? We’ll also be mail them out to our mailing list in mid to late October so watch your mailbox.? It might not look exactly like this, but it will be something close.

Preparing for East Berlin Colonial Day

? We sure are glad Colonial Day wasn’t today.? Tropical storm Hanna has been dumping rain on the farm for most of the day, which would make for nasty weather had we been setup at Colonial Day.

? We did put Snowfox & Rose with their crias into a new pasture last evening before the rains came.? We want to give the pasture close to the barn an opportunity to regrow a little before winter sets in.
